Permission has been received from Ross
Warner to use
some of the wonderful images from his
African Birds page: Gray Crowned-Crane is Uganda's
national bird, Helmeted Guinea-fowl is best seen in Senegal,
the Egyptian Goose can be seen in (where else...) Egypt,
and the Superb Starling, Martial Eagle, Kori Bustard, White-headed Buffalo-weaver,
Secretarybird, and Lilac-breasted (beautiful!) Roller were all photographed
in Tanzania.
.......Trident
Press, publishers of "Arabian Wildlife", has
approved the use of several of their Arabian
bird photographs: Collared Kingfisher breeds in Oman,
Pale Crag Martin can be found in Jordan, Indian
Pond-Heron is from (guess...) India, the Lesser
Spotted Eagle frequents Turkey, and the Imperial
Eagle can be observed in most of the Middle East (included in World
Bird Sampler).
Transferred Uganda, Egypt,
Oman,
Turkey
and Jordan to
the new format - added several new URL
links, checklists (where available) and birding factoids.
