Nestled in beautiful Kootenay Country, the Creston Valley Wildlife Management Area has much to offer both to the dedicated birder and the amateur naturalist alike - kilometres of walking and canoe trails, a full interpretive centre, friendly staff and volunteers, and most of all, awesome wildlife, with a focus on the birds of the wetlands.

This unofficial site guide was developed by Tina MacDonald following a birding trip to
Creston in June, 1998.
