Big Mike’s “Fake” BBQ Sauce
2 tbsp. Soy Sauce
2 tbsp. Balsamic vinegar
1 or 2 tsp. Garlic powder
1 tsp. Liquid Smoke sauce
1/3 cup Olive Oil
2 or 3 tbsp. Chili powder (can also use cayenne)
I usually mix in a bowl and then pour into a large ziplock bag with
the meat or chicken. Refrigerate and let sit for at least an hour.
Then take meat out and add a little water to the bag which contains the
remainder of the sauce, maybe a little more olive oil and use for basting.
If you BBQ, remember to use indirect heat and if you have some hickory
chunks or mesquite, they're great.
