Jan 2 - Depart Lisbon in the early morning with KLM to Amsterdam and from
there to Kilimanjaro, where collected by Neil Baker. Overnight at Kifufu
Farm, Sanya Juu.
Jan 3 - Arusha National Park
Jan 4 - Local birding in Kifufu
Jan 5-7 - Tarangire Nat Park
Jan 8 - Local birding in Kifufu including a visit to nearby Lake Magadi
Jan 9 - Depart to Lake Manyara (whole day spent on the journey due to bad
road condition)
Jan 10-11 - Lake Manyara Nat Park and surroundings
Jan 12 - Rift valley about 20 km north of Manyara
Jan 13 - Journey northwards along rift valley to Lake Natron (whole day
spent on the journey due to bad road condition)
Jan 14-16 Lake Natron southern and eastern shores
Jan 17 - Depart Lake Natron back along rift valley as far as Engaruka,
where local soda lake inaccessible. Overnight at Engaruka
Jan 18 - Birding locally and back to Manyara
Jan 19-20 - Lake Manyara Nat Park
Jan 21 - Depart to Serengeti (final destination not reached due to bad road
condition)
Jan 22 - Completion of previous day's journey. Birding locally around
Ikoma Camp Site
Jan 23 - Serengeti Nat Park
Jan 24 - Depart Serengeti, with stops on the way to enjoy game + birds.
